The Inn has a fully licensed restaurant which serves lunch and evening meals most days throughout the summer months.

PEAK SEASON OPENING HOURS FROM 17th MARCH 2010 

With effect from 17th March 2010 we are back onto our peak hours. The restaurant will be open Wednesday through to Sunday from 12noon to 2pm and again 5pm to 8pm.  

CURRENT OPENING HOURS 

However, our current opening hours for food are:- 

Saturday and Sunday Lunch served 12 - 2pm

Friday to Sunday Evening Meals served 5 - 8pm

In off peak months opening times may vary dependant on demand. At present no food is sold from Monday to Thursday. There are a few pubs locally which we would recommend for food when we are closed.

The Public bar is open from 5pm to 11pm daily with extended opening to 12am on a Friday and Saturday evening plus all day opening from noon on a Saturday and Sunday.

The evening menu is that of traditional pub grub. Below is a example of our evening menu. However, the menu is under review at the moment as we have recently appointed a new chef, Kenny Telfer who has loads of ideas he would like to try out over the next few months.
 

STARTERS

  • Soup of the Day served with a crusty roll
  • Crispy Camembert with Cranberry Sauce
  • Prawn & Smoked Salmon Cocktail
  • Garlic Mushrooms served with a crusty roll

MAIN COURSES

  • 10 oz Gammon Steak served with pineapple or egg
  • Prime Beef Steak Pie with flaky pastry
  • Deep Fried Breaded Haddock
  • Chicken Breast stuffed with Haggis served with a Wholegrain Mustard Sauce
  • Chicken Breast served in a White Wine, Bacon and Mushroom Cream Sauce 
  • Wholetail Breaded Scampi
  • Poached Salmon Fillet served with a Parsley, Lemon Butter Sauce
  • Macaroni Cheese made with local Cheddar


All main meals are served with your choice of potatoes or Chips and Salad or Vegetables.

The choice of vegetables changes throughout the year as we try to work with seasonal vegetables. All meals are cooked to order.

 

We also have a specials board which can change daily. Dishes offered on this are limited to ensure fresh and varied. However, we always try to have on a steak, burger and chicken dish.

Examples of favorite items on the Specials Board:-

  • 8 oz Sirloin Steak served with mushrooms, onion rings & tomato
  • Local Steak Burger with Bacon & Cheese

    Should you like a bottle of wine with your meal please ask for our wine list.  Alternatively we have a selection of wines available by the glass.
